2023-2024 Beach, Dog and Boat Permits are available for purchase at City Community Centers.

 

Patrons must reserve the pavilion in person at the front desk. Residents of the City of Boca Raton and the Greater Boca Raton Beach and Park District (To view a map of Residency limits click here) must show proof of residency to get the Resident rate. The following may be used as acceptable forms of residency:

  • Driver’s License (current)
  • Cable Bill (most recent)
  • Tax Bill (most recent)
  • Utility Bill (most recent)
  • Vehicle Registration (current)
  • Letter from Director of Campus Housing
  • Original Deed to property
  • Lease Agreement
  • Declaration of Domicile
  • Mortgage statement
  • Property tax receipt

Patron must pay in FULL for pavilion at the time of the reservation.

Patron must sign waiver at time of the reservation.

Patron must be 18 years or older to reserve a pavilion.

Reservations are not taken over the phone.

Due to the constant change in availability of pavilions, inquiries regarding availability must be made in person at the front desk.

Pavilions may be reserved up to 90 days in advance.

Reservations may be taken no later than 5:00pm of the day prior to usage date with the exception of Sunday reservations which must be made by 5:00pm on the Friday prior.

The Chickee Hut inside the playground is SHARED SPACE for all users. There are no parties/organized gatherings allowed inside the Chickee Hut.

Pavilions are on a first come, first served basis unless reserved. 

Pavilions are equipped with grills, benches/tables; some pavilions are equipped with water fountains, electricity, and lights.

  • No alcoholic beverages are allowed in any area of the park.
  • Sugar Sand Park is a No-Smoking park as designated by the Greater Boca Raton Beach and Park District. 
  • Pets are not permitted in the park.
  • Propane is prohibited in the park.
  • Per City Ordinance  (Chapter 9, Article VII.-Waste Reduction) the use of balloons, confetti and polystyrene foam (Styrofoam) is prohibited on City property.
  • Any entertainment must be approved upon making a reservation and may require a special event permit. 
  • Additional equipment such as tables, chairs, sound equipment, cotton candy machines, etc. also require a special event permit. 
  • Bounce houses, kiddie pools, sprinklers, hoses, and all other amusement apparatus are prohibited.
  • All decorations must be removed and discarded by the Permittee. 
  • Permittee must occupy the pavilion within 30 minutes of the reservation time.
  • Taping of signage throughout the park is prohibited. 
  • Pavilion fees are non-refundable.
  • All reservations are final.
  • When finished with grills, Permittee must water down coals with the hose provided at the pavilion.

These policies/rules are not all inclusive and are subject to change.

Family Pavilion or Classroom Pavilion: Resident $125.00, Non-resident $250.00

Pavilion 1, 2, or 3: Resident $75.00, Non-resident $150.00

Family Pavilion: 2 large grills, seats 80 adults

Patio Pavilion: 2 large grills, seats 46 adults

Pavilions 1, 2, 3:  1 large grill, seats 36 adults
